The BPR Project: Bulgarian – Romanian – Polish School of Civil Society is aimed at expanding the cooperation between NGOs from these countries, at providing support for civil society development, hoping to bring together citizens from the new member states and of the EU and to share experience and know-how.
The ultimate aim is to build a network of participating NGO’s from Bulgaria, Poland and Romania. The latestEuropean Union enlargement – the accession of Bulgaria and Romania – is seen as a great opportunity for the socio-economic development of our regions. The cooperation between NGOs may accelerate this process, further contributing to the integration of the new member states within the EU. Moreover, the network of NGOs in those countries needs to be developed fully and its role withinin the civil sector strengthened. Taking these aspects into account, the Association of Supporting Economic Development DELTA PARTNER wants to share its experience, gained since 2004 , with representatives of the these two new EU member states.
Along with Agency for Regional and Economic Development (Sliven, Bulgaria) and Agency for Information and Development of Non-governmental Organizations – AID-ONG (Timisoara, Romania), DELTA PARTNER has invited 30 representatives of non-governmental organizations from Bulgaria and Romania to take part in the Project in Ustroń (Poland) from 13th to 19th October 2007.
Most costs are covered by Delta Parteners and by a grant from the European Union. The participants from Bulgarian and Romanian NGO’s will attend a five-day intensive course in Project Management, financing and NGO networking and development. Participants have to be fluent in English, have NGO experience and be willing to spend time and effort to study the highly-specialised course materials .
Romania participates in this event with delegates from the Foundation for Communication Strategies(Bucharest) , as well as others from medium-sized NGO’s in Baia-Mare, Targu Mures (Women of the Third Millennium) ,Craiova and Cluj.
