Isaia (9):

Caci Prunc s-a nascut noua, un Fiu s-a dat noua, a Carui stapanire e pe umarul Lui si se cheama numele Lui: Inger de mare sfat, Sfetnic minunat, Dumnezeu tare, biruitor, Domn al pacii, Parinte al veacului ce va sa fie.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Simeon (Luca, 2):

Acum slobozeste pe robul Tau, după cuvantul Tau, în pace,
Ca ochii mei vazura izbavirea Ta,
Pe care ai gatit-o inaintea fetei tuturor popoarelor,
Lumina spre luminarea neamurilor si slava poporului Tau Israel.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
