Nobody steals the Sun . on March 29, 2006
The Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy announces a very special collaboration between science and music: a soundtrack dedicated to the March 29, 2006 Total Solar Eclipse.
Although we are living in the 21st century, such phenomenon still creates fear. In some places on Earth, governments urged the population not to panic. The Sun eclipse is not a danger to people, but a natural
phenomenon.
Based on an idea of a science journalist, Cãtãlin Mosoia, and supervised by a professional astronomer, PhD Magda Stavinschi, the work of the Romanian composer Cristian Matei was produced taking into account the
most important moments of a total eclipse of the Sun. Emotion, mystery, and science truth vibrate in ‘Nobody steals the Sun’ soundtrack (P&C to composer Cristian Matei).
Composed for non-commercial purposes only, it may be downloaded from the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy website www.astro.ro.
