The Romanian Cultural Institute presents the 2010 edition of the Romanian Language, Culture and Civilization Courses, to be organized in the city of Braşov (Romania), July 7th-31st 2010.
The program contains intensive Romanian language classes, conferences on cultural topics and creative workshops: creative writing, 19th century Ball dancing and retro-costumes, Romanian gastronomy and handicrafts. Fieldtrips will be organized during weekends in the Old City of Brasov, Sibiu, the fortified Saxon fortresses around Brasov and Sibiu (Harman, Prejmer, Viscri) the Bran Castle, the Rupea fortress, the Cezar Petrescu Memorial House in Busteni, the Peles Complex in Sinaia (Peles, Pelisor, Foisor), the George Enescu Memorial House in Sinaia and a traditional village. These site visits will benefit from the informed comments of young sociologists, historians and art historians.
The participation fee is 1,000 Euros (registration, tuition, courses, workshops, trips, extra activities in the program, accommodation and meals).
Additional expenses (international and domestic return-tickets to Brasov, health insurances) are to be covered by the participants.
The Romanian language course will be concluded with an exam, to be accompanied by an ICR issued diploma and an EU recognized certficate of language competence for levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. Graduate and undergraduate students might be also awarded 6 ECTS credits, issued by the Transilvania University of Braşov.
